System Preferences - Payrun

The settings here are per User.

These options refer to how each Payrun will appear or behave.

Field Explanation
Payrun Options
Pad Employee ID This is used when adding employees into the payrun, using the F8 shortcut. If this option is ticked, in the payrun you can enter only the significant portion of the employee number to find the employee. For example, with an employee number 000522, you need only enter 522.
Payrun Starting Node This determines the first payrun screen which is displayed when you load an employee into the payrun for editing. The default is Selected Employee, which leads you to the default settings on the Master screen. Depending on your most common payrun transactions, you can change this setting to suit your preference. For example, if you have to enter a lot of overtime transactions, you might want to change this to Pay Items so that the pay items entry screen is shown by default.
Amount Column Colour Use this setting to distinguish pay item amounts in the payrun and employee file. It defaults to black.
Payrun (On Leave) Active Tick this option if you want employees on leave to be displayed in the employee pool during a payrun. By default, employees on leave are filtered out of the employee pool.
Payrun Recalculate Active This option will activate an additional step in the Payrun Wizard, where the user can force a recalculation of all costings for employees in the payrun. If you think it might apply to your situation, call the HR3 office to discuss it further.
Employee termination log
Create employee task for termination log Tick this box if you want to create a To Do task upon termination of an employee.
Termination log task options
These options become available once the 'Create' box has been ticked.
Create a synopsis task Tick this option if you want to create a single To Do task notification (within the payrun) with a PDF log file attached. This log file will list all the items associated with the terminating employee (such as Workflow Approver needing reassignment, property items not yet returned, or scheduled employee events), i.e. items that may require further action to complete the termination.
Create individual tasks This may be ticked instead of 'synopsis task'. For each of the items associated with the terminating employee, an individual task notification will be sent. Each of these To Do tasks may require further action to complete the termination.
Reminder alert for termination task If you have specified that a To Do task is to be created, tick this box if you also want the Reminder Alert to be displayed.
